A few superstars who have departed WWE in recent years have moved into more ordinary careers. Vince McMahon's promotion has released several superstars over the past two years. Other performers have requested their release and willingly left the company for different reasons over the same period.

Since their departure, many wrestlers have joined other promotions. Bryan Danielson and Ruby Soho joined All Elite Wrestling. Meanwhile, Mickie James and The IInspiration (FKA The IIconics) have signed with IMPACT Wrestling.

Nonetheless, other superstars have turned their backs on professional wrestling since their departure. They left the industry and currently have regular jobs. The former wrestlers now work in different fields, including real estate, martial arts training and farming.

Here are six recently departed superstars who now work surprisingly ordinary jobs.

#6 WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page

Diamond Dallas Page rose to fame as a wrestler during his time with WCW as he was able to win the coveted Triple Crown. He was also the only United States Heavyweight Champion to defend the title in a pay-per-view main event, retaining the championship against Bret Hart at the 1998 edition of World War 3.

When WCW was eventually acquired by WWE, Page was one of the few major stars to jump ship. While he didn't have an exceptional run in Vince McMahon's promotion, he was able to win the European and the World Tag Team Championships.

The master of Diamond Cutter has since started his own mail order and online fitness video business called DDP Yoga, also known as DDPY. Many wrestlers and other famous celebrities have used the services of DDP Yoga to improve their fitness and get in better shape.

#5 Marcos Gomez

In 2018, Marcos Gomez participated in a WWE tryout in Chile. A year later, the company signed the Brazilian mixed martial artist. Gomez spent two years on NXT before the company released him from his contract in April 2020 due to budget cuts.

After his release, the Brazilian mixed martial artist thanked WWE for allowing him to live in another country, meet excellent athletes, and work for such a huge company. However, he also disclosed that he did not have enough time to show his full potential.

Since his departure from Vince McMahon's promotion, Gomez has returned to his home country and to his previous job as a Muay Thai trainer. The former NXT Superstar regularly posts photos and videos from his training sessions on his Instagram account.

Gomez was not the only Brazilian released in April 2020. That same month, the company let go of a few other Brazilian wrestlers, including Tay Conti (FKA Taynara) and Cezar Bononi. Unlike Gomez, the two are still active wrestlers. The two are currently regular competitors on AEW television.

#4 Nia Jax

Nia Jax joined WWE in 2014 and spent nearly seven years in the company, during which she won the RAW Women's Championship. However, the company decided to release her from her contract last November.

A few days after her departure, The Irresistible Force hinted at retiring from professional wrestling. Answering a fan's question on Twitter, she disclosed that it is unlikely that she will ever wrestle again.

During a recent Q&A session on Instagram, a fan asked the former RAW Women's Champion about her plans after leaving the wrestling business. The 37-year-old revealed that she is starting her own business. Jax also added that she would work on her farm.

Nia Jax held the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles alongside Shayna Baszler for nearly five months between January and May 2021. They eventually lost the championships to Natalya and Tamina on SmackDown. Two months before her departure, Jax also challenged Charlotte Flair for the RAW Women's Championship. However, she failed to capture the title.

The former Women's Tag Team Champion last competed in WWE in September 2021. In her final match, she competed against her former tag team partner Shayna Baszler. However, The Irresistible Force lost the bout.

#3 Sarah Logan

$3 $3 $3

Sarah Logan made her NXT debut in April 2015 against Becky Lynch. She then spent nearly two years on WWE's third brand before moving to the main roster as part of The Riott Squad.

Logan competed in WWE for nearly five years. However, the company released her from her contract in April 2020 due to budget cuts. A few months later, she announced that she was stepping away from wrestling for the foreseeable future.

"Wrestling is all I’ve known since I was 17 so it’s time I let myself focus on other things and explored other parts of myself," she wrote on her Instagram.

The former Riott Squad member is currently a fitness trainer. She also has a lifestyle YouTube channel called Rowesborg TV. Logan also describes herself as a farmer, hunter, and butcher on Instagram.

In an interview with Table Talk in June 2020, Logan revealed that she enjoys her current life.

"I’m really enjoying starting my farm and starting this YouTube thing together. I have some stuff within the hunting and outdoor community. I’m really excited about it," she said.

The former WWE Superstar has not competed for nearly two years. Her last match came in April 2020, when she lost to Shayna Baszler on RAW. However, Logan stated that she has not retired from professional wrestling. She revealed that she would return to the squared circle in the future.

#2 Kairi Sane

$3 $3 $3

Kairi Sane signed with WWE in 2017 and made her debut later that same year. She debuted against Tessa Blanchard in the first round of the Mae Young Classic tournament, which she won. For the next two years, the Japanese superstar became one of the top female competitors on NXT.

In April 2019, Sane made her main roster debut when she joined forces with Asuka to form The Kabuki Warriors. Six months later, they won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. Sane and Asuka held the titles for nearly five months before losing them to Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross at WrestleMania 36.

In mid-2020, Sane departed Vince McMahon's company and moved back to Japan. She later became an ambassador and trainer for WWE's branch in her home country. The former NXT Women's Champion also recently opened her own gym in Japan.

$3 $3 $3

According to some of these reports, the company wanted to renew Sane's contract and bring her back to the ring. She refused the offer because she did not want to reside in the United States. Although the former NXT Women's Champion has not ruled out a possible return to wrestling, she seems more focused now on her gym project.

#1 Bo Dallas

$3 $3 $3

Bo Dallas signed with WWE nearly a decade and a half ago. He spent 13 years in the company, during which he won the NXT Championship, the RAW Tag Team Titles, and the 24/7 Championship.

WWE released Dallas from his contract in April 2021 after more than a year of absence from in-ring action. His last match came in October 2019, when he and his B-Team partner Curtis Axel lost to The New Day at WWE's Crown Jewel pay-per-view.

According to reports, Dallas currently owns a farm with his girlfriend, Liv Morgan. The two have also started a family real estate business.

The former RAW Tag Team Champion also recently launched a cooking show on his YouTube channel. In a recent Q&A session on his YouTube channel, Dallas disclosed that cooking is one of his passions besides wrestling.

"I've always loved cooking one way or another," said Dallas When I was growing up, I was always interested in whatever my mom was cooking and when I got older and was hanging out with my friends and late late at night (...) I'd always be the designated guy to cook (...) that led me into finding out more about culinary and as I got into later years I started looking up or researching and getting into the real culinary aspects of cooking."
$3 $3 $3

Despite working on several projects outside the ring, the former NXT Champion believes he will return to professional wrestling in the future. During a Highspots Wrestling Network virtual signing, Dallas stated that he is currently re-finding his love for wrestling, which is his passion.
