5 full-fledged feuds of Dean Ambrose WWE fans did not get to see

Dean Ambrose has decided to leave WWE after fighting for seven years on the main roster. He was a three-time Intercontinental champion, a United States champion, and a former world champion. He also won the tag team championship, making him a Grand Slam champion in the WWE. His career started as part of the popular stable, The Shield.

His departure has caused grief to many WWE fans who will always remember him for his strength, tenacity, and hard work. During his stint in WWE, he fought many wrestlers, but there were a few full-fledged feuds which fans were robbed off. The following are a few examples of the same.

#5 Roman Reigns

You would not believe me if I told you that Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose have only fought one singles match on the main roster with each other; the match itself was underwhelming as well. Their encounter was at Survivor Series 2015 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, where Reigns defeated Ambrose to rise to the main-event level.

The history between the two would make for a very interesting rivalry, but alas we never got one. Ambrose was supposed to be Reigns' opponent at WrestleMania, before the latter got diagnosed with leukemia. The stakes could have been raised by putting the Universal Championship on the line.

#4 Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe vowed to fight each member of The Shield in 2017 and take them apart. Ambrose and Joe fought one-to-one in December 2017 during an episode of Raw in which the latter won due to Jason Jordan's interference. If that was not enough, the following week, The Destroyer ensnared The Lunatic Fringe backstage so that he could be written off television.

Before Ambrose could return from injury, Joe was drafted to SmackDown, making a feud between them impossible. A potential program between the two would undoubtedly feature hard-hitting action and a nice clash of wrestling styles.
