5 hilarious tweets by Rusev that show how savage the Bulgarian Brute really is
Back in 2014, it looked like "The Bulgarian Brute", Rusev would be WWE's next big thing. After establishing his dominance on NXT, Rusev set his sights on the main roster. Although his first notable main roster appearance was during the Royal Rumble 2014 match, he made his full-time debut post-WrestleMania 30.
He remained unpinned for almost an entire year and even managed to capture the United States Championship. With an amazing move-set, a rebel attitude, and an association with perhaps one of the best managers of the modern era of professional wrestling, Lana, it looked like there was nothing that could stop Rusev.
However, that wasn't the case and Rusev ended up losing all his credibility after only one feud against John Cena.
The next 4 years saw Rusev's star fall further down. Although he had his moments sporadically, nothing was sufficient to restore his credibility. As of April 2019, Rusev is a part of the lower mid-card picture on SmackDown Live. He also holds the record for longest pay-per-view losing streak.
It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that a superstar like Rusev, who has put in so much work to improve himself over the years feels salty time and again. He often takes his frustrations to Twitter, but he does it in quite a hilarious way.
The self-proclaimed Handsome Hunk's official Twitter handle is sole proof that he might be contained when he is on camera, but there's no stopping him when he has full creative control.
Here are 5 of Rusev's most entertaining Tweets.
#5 An All Elite Hall of Fame
Earlier this year, it was reported that Billy Gunn had joined the brand new professional wrestling promotion, All Elite Wrestling, as its official producer. A number of weeks later, it was announced that Gunn, along with his D-Generation X stable-mates, would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania weekend.
The WWE Universe got quite vocal after this announcement and brought up how one-half of the New Age Outlaws was a part of the rival promotion.
Rusev was too smart to let this moment pass without leaving a witty comment. He took to his Twitter handle and posted a tweet regarding Gunn's allegiance. The Bulgarian Brute had an interesting question for Gunn, i.e which shirt would he be wearing during the ceremony?
This tweet surprised many, as acknowledging the existence of AEW might land a WWE Superstar in trouble. However, Rusev is already in the dog-house, so why not have some fun along with it? More power to Rusev!
