5 Hollywood celebs you didn't know appeared in WWE
For several decades, the WWE has worked closely with the world of celebrities, using famous names and faces to help promote shows, whilst giving these Hollywood stars exposure to a new potential audience.
Even going back to the first WrestleMania, the inaugural Showcase of the Immortals was chock-filled with celebs of the time, from Liberace to Muhammad Ali, to Mr. T, who competed in the main event.
And since then, the WWE has always looked to celebrities to join the company for a stint, often focussing primarily on actors, who are already well-taught on how to perform in stories, and therefore can transition well to WWE storylines.
Whilst stars like Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and John Cena have made an incredible leap from WWE to acting, there are plenty who have come from the movie set to wrestling
Here are five Hollywood celebrities you didn't know were in WWE.
#5 Kelsey Grammer (WrestleMania 32)
One of the stars of Cheers, Kelsey Grammer got his big solo break in the show's spin-off, where he returned as the snooty Dr. Frasier Crane, with his dulcet tones and knowledge of elitist culture making for some hilarious episodes.
Fans may also recognize Grammer's voice for his work as Sideshow Bob in the Simpsons, the former sideshow act to Krusty the Clown, who now has a vendetta against the boy who sent him to prison, Bart.
Part of film franchises like X-Men, Transformers and even Toy Story, Grammer played a small role at WrestleMania 32.
Introducing the show, Grammer lent his iconic voice to WWE, and whilst fans may have mixed feelings on the show, no-one can deny that Grammer made the iconic show feel exactly that.
