WWE SmackDown LIVE concluded the WWE's year of pay-per-view with Clash of Champions and there were many highlights from the blue brand's December PPV, with Ziggler winning the US Title, Daniel Bryan helping Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens keep their jobs and AJ Styles proving he truly is phenomenal.

However, I'm here to look at the records, the statistics and the fun little facts that have emerged following the Clash of Champions pay-per-view!

So without further ado, here's the top 5 interesting records and stats from Clash of Champions 2017.

#5 Dolph Ziggler extends an incredible record

Dolph Ziggler successfully defeated Baron Corbin and Bobby Roode in an excellent Triple Threat match to win the United States title, becoming a two-time US Champion in the process.

However, what you may not know is that this title win, just at the tail-end of 2017 means that he has extended a record that has been running for eight years, since 2010. The record is that 'The Showoff' has held a major title (including the Money in the Bank briefcase) every year in the WWE for the last eight years.

The only Superstar to my knowledge who has exceeded this interesting statistic is The Miz, who has held a title with the WWE every year since 2007, which is incredibly impressive. Kofi Kingston would also be expected for a title-less year in 2014, as he's held a title every other year since 2008.
