5 kayfabe wrestling families
While WWE plans stories to get more viewers, it sometimes scraps them midway. However, some well-known storylines were continued and they did entertain people. As it is a business affair, many tag teams and families became popular and filled the sales and viewership charts. Fake family members were presented with an interesting story and most of the people assumed them as real. These "family" relationships helped many big stars get a good start in the early stage of their career and it also helped them to connect with people.
These kayfabe families include former World Champions, Hall of Famers and present superstars as well. We are known to many wrestling families but not every fact has got our attention. Though the list is long, let's take a look at some wrestling families created for hype but which made with a good story.
#5 The Andersons
The Anderson family started off in the late 1960s with Lars Anderson and Gene Anderson. Although Lars and Gene weren't really brothers, they brought in Ole and Arn Anderson and called them brother and nephew respectively.
Surprisingly, Gene was the only wrestler of the faction whose name was really Anderson. The team also claimed 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair to be their cousin.
The team won over 11 different tag team championships at various wrestling promotions.
