The 31st annual Survivor Series event takes place next Sunday Night live from The Toyota Centre in Houston, Texas.
Over the past three decades, a lot of history has been made at this event, which is the second longest running WWE pay-per-view in the company's history, behind only WrestleMania that was established all the way back in 1985.
Survivor Series has always been one of the most anticipated pay-per-views of the year, with bragging rights annually on the line at the event and only the best wrestlers able to come out on top.
This year is no different, but for the first time in history, WWE will pit Champion against Champion throughout the show and up to the main event, which will see WWE Champion AJ Styles set up to the challenge of Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

Despite the fact that Survivor Series has been an annual show for three decades, and the Money in the Bank briefcase came into circulation back in 2005, it seems that over the past 12 years the contract has only been cashed in at the event just once.
In one of the biggest shocks of the night back in 2015, Sheamus made his way to the ring following the match between Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose and managed to quickly dethrone 'The Big Dog' with a Brogue Kick., Sheamus won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship that night, a title that he lost back to Reigns just a few weeks later.
