5 Mae Young Classic competitors who will be successful in WWE
A pioneer for Women's wrestling, and a sports entertainer that could rival the big box office money earners of the current era; Mae Young had a sparkle that has not been replicated since. Mae's in-ring technique, desire to perform, and willingness to entertain in whatever way the WWE storytellers saw fit, showed the amazing raw talent that Mae was blessed with.
Now that WWE is in a new era; revered with amazing new talent, and the women's revolution that has spawned what many believe to be the best Woman's roster of all time, it seems only fitting for WWE to continue with that momentum.
After the commencement of the 32-competitor Mae-Young classic, there seems to have been an atomic rise in the popularity for the division. Here we will look at the five Mae Young competitors who would make Mae proud, and supplement the main WWE roster as the ideal in-ring performer alongside the current division's talented roster.
1: Kairi Sane
After winning the Mae Young classic, Kairi is easily the first on the list. With her pirate gimmick and the most amazing diving elbow drop in the industry, there is little Kairi cannot accomplish within WWE. With the success of her compatriots; such as Nakamura and Asuka, it seems the WWE would be wise to cash in on the style and quality of the Japanese talent.
Expect to see Sane tearing it up at the top of NXT very soon. Then the main roster not much further away.
