5 memorable matches of The Prime Time Players
In 2012, a tag team called The Prime Time Players was formed by two new WWE Superstars, Darren Young, and Titus O'Neil. Both Young and O'Neil were a part of the game-show version of WWE NXT where participants were termed as 'rookies' and were each assigned a particular WWE Superstar as their mentor.
Young participated in the first season while O'Neil was a part of the second season. After that, he was again featured on NXT Redemption, the show's fifth season. The two Superstars initially were rivals and feuded with each other and after some point formed an alliance.
The Prime Time Players made their debut on the main roster as a heel tag team on the April 20, 2012 episode of WWE SmackDown by picking up a win over The Usos. They disbanded in 2014 after O'Neil turned heel by brutally attacking Young for losing in a match. They reformed again in 2015 after O'Neil saved Young from a beatdown at the hands of The Ascension.
They then had a title run with the WWE Tag Team Championship and once again disbanded and got into a feud with each other in 2016. Darren Young left WWE in 2017 and currently competes in independent wrestling promotions under the name of Fred Rosser. His former tag team partner Titus O'Neil is still associated with WWE.
Before we take a look at the 5 most memorable matches of the former Tag Team Champions, watch Fred Rosser talk to Korey Gunz about his time in WWE and more.
