5 most important female Superstars in WWE today

WWE's top five most important women right now on the main roster

In part one of our three-part series of the most important Superstars in WWE, we looked at the men from Raw and SmackDown such as Roman Reigns and AJ Styles.

Following up that list, it's time for us to talk about the women on both the red and blue brands who have risen to those ranks in their own ways.

Now more than ever, the women's revolution has illustrated how the women in WWE are much more than just eye candy and bathroom break acts, meaning this is the most influential time to be positioned as one of the top people in the company.

While there are far more than five women deserving of credit for all the great leaps and bounds women's wrestling has made recently, these are the top few who I feel are prioritized the most within WWE's creative teams based on their booking and overall treatment—not my personal favorites or a ranking of their talent by any means.

Also, take note that this excludes Stephanie McMahon, as she is naturally the absolute most important, but in a role completely different from the typical Superstar's nature.

Without further ado, let's take a look at those five women who stand above the rest of their peers as the most important in WWE today.

#1 Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss
The Goddess of WWE

When Alexa Bliss first made the jump up to the main roster from NXT to SmackDown, she had not been able to capture the NXT Women's Championship, which seemed like a necessary stepping stone.

Soon enough, though, she was capturing the SmackDown Women's Championship from Becky Lynch and quickly became the primary focal point of the blue brand's women's division.

She held onto that title for months and when the time was up for her to relinquish it, Bliss matter of factly went over to Raw with the Superstar Shake-Up and within no time, won that championship to compensate.

Being the first to ever win both titles and in such a short amount of time is astounding, and in doing so, she's commanded considerable attention in the process.

There's no argument that the division doesn't revolve around her and that she isn't easily one of WWE's top five women. Those are simply facts at this point.
