5 noteworthy statistics coming out of WWE Fastlane
The fourth annual Fastlane event came to us live from Columbus, Ohio last night and it changed the landscape of SmackDown Live heading into WrestleMania. There is now a new United States Champion and there seems to be a triple threat match on the horizon between Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal.
The SmackDown Women's Championship picture is heating up since Asuka made her presence known last night and challenged Charlotte to a match on the Grandest Stage of Them All, Carmella is still in possession of that Money in the Bank contract that could become quite the stumbling block for both women.
Last night also confirmed that AJ Styles will be walking into WrestleMania as the WWE Champion and will be facing his longtime friend and rival Shinsuke Nakamura.
#5. Carmella has now held onto the Money In The Bank briefcase for 256 days
Fastlane was seemingly the perfect opportunity for Carmella to cash in her Money in the Bank contract after Charlotte successfully defended her title against Ruby Riott. Instead, Asuka made her way over the SmackDown brand to challenge the Champion and it seems that Carmella has been forgotten.
Money in the Bank is coming up in a few short months and if Carmella doesn't cash in then she will have her contract taken off her. She has now held the contract for 256 days which is just two weeks shy of Edge's record from when he cashed in his contract back at New Years Revolution back in 2006 after holding the contract for 280 days.
