5 of the worst recent feuds in WrestleMania
WrestleMania is the flagship pay-per-view for WWE. It is like the Superbowl for sports entertainment. WWE usually goes out of its way to put the best show possible at WrestleMania and that includes compelling feuds and storylines.
WrestleMania 35 is on the horizon and it is promising to be one of the best in the history of the company. Majority of the storylines and feuds are looking impressive, and coupled with star power involved, this WrestleMania can possibly be the Grandest Of Them All.
But for all the great WrestleMania moments WWE has provided, they have also given the fans some of the most cringe-worthy and hideous moments at WrestleMania.
Here is a look at 5 of the worst WrestleMania feuds in recent history:
#5 Bogeyman vs Booker T and Sharmell (WrestleMania 22)
The background of the feud is that The Boogeyman was too scary for Booker T. Booker, the five-time champion and WCW legend, was too spooked by the worm eating Boogeyman. The match itself was pretty short due to an injury suffered by the creepy superstar at a house show prior to WrestleMania. The match involved The Boogeyman kissing Sharmell and putting worms into her mouth. Boogeyman eventually went on to win the match.
What also did not help matters was the fact that the match was sandwiched between two matches with great storylines in Edge vs Mick Foley and Mickie James vs Trish Stratus.
#4 Ryback vs Mark Henry (WrestleMania 29)
Ryback was originally scheduled to face the Shield alongside Randy Orton and Sheamus. The Hounds of Justice had been targeting Orton, Sheamus, and Ryback for months and match was set among the six-men at WrestleMania 29.
Suddenly, Mark Henry decided to join the act and after weeks of staredowns among the two beasts, The World's Strongest Man made his move in a Smackdown episode. After the Shield laid out Ryback with a triple powerbomb, Mark Henry took advantage and destroyed "The Human Wrecking Ball" with three World's Strongest Slams.
That diverted Ryback's attention from the Shield to Henry and on an episode of Monday Night Raw, he demanded to face Mark Henry at WrestleMania. The match took place and Henry emerged victorious.
