Braun Strowman was the initial suspect, but he denied it. The match proceeded one man short, but the end saw Brock Lesnar make an appearance and climb the ladder, becoming Mr. Money in the Bank himself.
Now there's no doubt that it's the swerve of 2019 and it's certainly going to be interesting to see what happens with Lesnar now that his UFC deal has fallen through. Here are five booking options for The Beast Incarnate as Mr. Money in the Bank.
#5 Going after Kofi Kingston and jumping to SmackDown Live
Just because Brock Lesnar won the Money in the Bank briefcase, it doesn't mean that he's going to go and become a 3-time Universal Champion. With the FOX deal done and the switch happening just months away, the executives reportedly want as much star power as possible, including the likes of Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, etc.
Since the Universal title picture for the last two years only centered around Brock Lesnar, it makes sense that WWE will want to have him go after newer challenges with newer opponents and newer storylines.
This could mean that Lesnar ends up on the blue brand and ends up cashing in on Kofi Kingston. It could be Lesnar dominating the WWE title scene once again.
