5 Outrageous booking decisions for 'Woken' Matt Hardy
Over the past few weeks, fans have been made aware of the rebirth of Matt Hardy with a character he made popular in Impact Wrestling. While some may not fully grasp the characters true meaning there is something that should be said about Hardy's willingness to go outside the box and provide fans with a number of amusing and at times bizarre promos. He was known for his arm gesture while stating DELETE or stating that he lives within a VESSEL or that he would render his opposition OBSOLETE.
His success should also be noted that the character doesn't walk alone but is surrounded by his Brother, Nero, his wife Queen Rebecca, son King Maxel and his father-in-law Senor Benjamin. Each of these characters helps to send a message to fans using various means including their drone Vanguard1's twitter account.
Will the WWE decide to go in these different directions and allow Hardy continued freedom to express himself? We can only wait and see what will ultimately result in him. Here are five outrageous booking decisions for Woken Matt Hardy.
#5 Have him face his V1 itself
The creation of the Woken Matt Hardy character emerged after a loss in the WWE to Bray Wyatt. His slow brooding persona was developing in the corner with little rhyme or reason as it to why it was coming about in the first place. The following week fans were enlightened to see that this persona had been ‘woken' as it rested within the vessel known as Matthew Hardy. What followed were cackles by Hardy and exchange with Bray Wyatt.
One idea that may be explored with Hardy was to have him flash in and out of consciousness and have him feud with a previous persona that evolved when he first became a singles competitor in the WWE. As Matt Hardy version 1, fans became aware that this character was the one that mattered. That all that existed before he came out prior to this didn't matter and this was the one that means the most. Could a rivalry work with himself? It is certainly a possible booking
