5 pay-per-views most worthy of joining the Big Four
We all know and love the ‘Big Four pay-per-views’ concept in WWE. WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble are big occasions in the WWE calendar due to their sheer stature and historical significance.
Nothing can touch these spectacles and for years on end, they've been the showcase events for Vince McMahon's company.
However, what would happen if we introduced a fifth party into the fold? Everyone always tends to refer to the other PPVs of the year as "B shows", but why can't we throw one of those events a bone and promote them to being an "A show"?
We're certainly in an era of sports entertainment where things are always evolving, so there's no better time in which to make this happen.
A lot of old school fans probably wouldn't be in favour of this idea, but for the new generation, in particular, it could be quite exciting. The recipient of the fifth spot could include an NXT Takeover show, a package deal and a chance to meet numerous superstars much like the other four do.
After all, it's not like the hardcore fans will turn down the chance to travel to another big city in North America.
With that in mind, let's take a look at five pay-per-views most worthy of joining the Big Four.
#1 Money In The Bank
In terms of shows that feel about as important as the big four, Money In The Bank is right up there. Over the years, there have been a string of important matches to have taken place on the pay-per-view, with the actual MITB ladder matches themselves making up just a few of them.
If you need an example, just look towards John Cena vs CM Punk for the WWE Championship back in 2011.

As the mid-point between WrestleMania and SummerSlam, MITB fills an important void for WWE fans that experience the post-Mania blues. If you continue to build Money In The Bank as an event that's on par with something like Survivor Series, then the end reward will be an incredibly satisfying one. Make it happen, WWE.
