5 Possible finishes for Seth Rollins vs. Damian Priest at Money in the Bank: Club meddling, same-night cash in & more
Seth Rollins made his return to WWE and immediately secured a title shot at Money in the Bank. Instead of issuing a challenge to regain the World Heavyweight Championship, Damian Priest gave The Visionary a shot to prove he was the better champ.
After WrestleMania 40, it appeared that Rollins would miss significant time due to a knee injury. After about two months away from the ring, The Architect is back for his title.
Money in the Bank is less than three weeks away. Who will leave Toronto with the World Heavyweight Championship? The match could play out in one of the next five ways.
#5. Damian Priest beats Seth Rollins by himself
For much of 2024, Damian Priest has claimed that he doesn't need Judgment Day to win matches. He prefers showing that he can beat his opponents without outside help from his allies.
Priest did this successfully against Jey Uso and stopped his allies from attacking Uso further after the win.
Since Rollins established the title and cleanly defeated Priest along the way, it may be time for The Visionary to return the favor. It would speak volumes for The Archer of Infamy if he defeated a star like Seth Rollins cleanly at Money in the Bank.
#4. The Judgment Day interferes to help Priest retain
While Priest likes to think he can win every match without help, that doesn't mean his allies on Judgment Day won't try to interfere. He may have beaten Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle, but not without interference from CM Punk.
Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh don't always listen to the walking orders before matches. With Carlito loosely affiliated with the group, outside interference in Judgment Day matches is even more likely.
To keep up with the tradition of group success, any member could intervene with or without Priest's orders. He may retain the title at Money in the Bank, but not like how it happened.
#3. Drew McIntyre causes a No Contest by interfering
Drew McIntyre is the third man in the World Heavyweight Title picture. He relentlessly pursued Seth Rollins in the final months of 2023 before earning a title shot at WrestleMania 40.
He defeated Rollins but lost the title minutes later to a Damian Priest cash-in. They're the last three stars to hold the title. McIntyre and Rollins will be the two latest challengers for the championship.
Since The Scottish Warrior is despondent after another heartbreaking loss due to outside forces, he may decide to pay everyone back by interfering. He's not done with Priest and deserves another shot at the belt.
Causing a 'No Contest' would prolong the title program and potentially lead to a Fatal Fourway at SummerSlam.
#2. Seth Rollins regains his title at Money in the Bank
Seth Rollins established the World Heavyweight Title when it was reintroduced in May of 2023. He held the title for nearly a year before losing it at WrestleMania 40. He's one of the top WWE stars and could easily regain the championship.
Title programs are better with faces chasing the belt, and Rollins is still a fan favorite. Depending on plans for Priest and the Judgment Day, The Visionary may regain his title over the summer.
It would be disheartening for Priest if Rollins wins the title back after taking two months off. Even with that, the man who established the title could win it back with a clean win.
#1. The 2024 Men's Money in the Bank winner cashes in
One big difference between male and female Money in the Bank winners has been how long each has held their case. Female winners have traditionally cashed in sooner compared to their male counterparts.
Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, and Nikki A.S.H. all cashed in their contracts within 24 hours of winning the case. On the other hand, stars like Damian Priest and Big E waited a few months before picking their moment. Priest held his briefcase for almost a year.
Bookers could switch things up this year and potentially have the men's Money in the Bank winner cash in on Priest or Rollins. Whoever wins will be vulnerable and it would add another wrinkle on the road to SummerSlam. Jey Uso was the first to qualify, and he's been in the title picture for the last nine months.
