5 possible stadium venues for SummerSlam 2019
For the last few years, WWE's annual summer spectacular SummerSlam has been joined at the hip with Brooklyn, New York. It's been a long and fruitful relationship in more ways than one, but now, the company is preparing to take the event elsewhere - much in the same way that they did after leaving Los Angeles for NY in the first place.

While the show has almost been exclusively held in arenas, it's starting to feel like the tides are turning in terms of WWE's tendency to run stadium shows. With the Greatest Royal Rumble taking place as well as the 2019 Rumble being held at Chase Field, the times are certainly changing - and that pattern needs to continue with the biggest party of the summer.
With that being said, here are five possible stadium venues for SummerSlam 2019.
#5 LA Memorial Coliseum
We mentioned LA in the introduction, and for good reason. Los Angeles, and more specifically the Staples Center, hosted SummerSlam six years in a row between 2009 and 2014 until WWE moved it to Brooklyn. The arena always worked well enough, but the city itself is often seen as a big reason why the company decided to continually go back there.
LA is a vibrant place with great weather, especially in August, and with the Memorial Coliseum, you've got a stadium that is more than fit for the occasion. Obviously there are some logistics that need to be worked out, and if we were talking about 2020 then we'd substitute in the new Inglewood stadium, but for now, it feels like the Coliseum would be worth the risk.
