Shane McMahon made his return to the WWE on February 22, 2016, on an episode of Raw, to a standing ovation. This was his first appearance in nearly seven years, and since his return, he has been involved in interesting feuds and two high profile Wrestlemania matches. The Wrestlemania contests were against The Undertaker and AJ Styles at Wrestlemania 32 and 33, respectively.

Shane-O-Mac is known for his high-risk moves, and it is these moves that keep the fans invested in his matches. He is set to lead Team SmackDown against Team Raw at Survivor Series 2017, in what will be a mouth-watering clash. However, it is at Wrestlemania that everyone gets to see dream match-ups.

Who could Shane McMahon face at next year's Wrestlemania in New Orleans? Here are the five potential opponents the Chairman's son could clash with at Wrestlemania 34:

#5 Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn made his WWE debut in 2013 when he joined NXT. He previously wrestled on the independent circuit under the ring name El Generico for eleven years. Zayn won the NXT championship on December 11, 2014, and held the title for 62 days, and at NXT, he had numerous great matches with the most notable one being his match against Shinsuke Nakamura at NXT TakeOver: Dallas in April 2015.

Zayn collided with Shane McMahon at the Hell in a Cell when he got involved in Shane's match against Kevin Owens. He helped Owens defeat Shane by dragging him onto Shane and forcing the referee to count the pinfall.

Prior to that, he saved Kevin Owens from an elbow drop by Shane off the Hell in a Cell structure through the announcer's table. He explained that his actions were due to Shane not giving him an opportunity on SmackDown.

Zayn can accuse Shane of not giving him opportunities despite his wrestling prowess, in what would lead to a grudge match at Wrestlemania 34. With Zayn's ability to put on an excellent match and Shane's high-risk manoeuvres, this would be a great match.
