5 reasons why the Judgment Day should finally leave WWE RAW
The Judgment Day has been one of the focal points of RAW for the last four years. Ahead of the move to Netflix, both GMs announced a "transfer portal" to allow star movement between brands.
Several have already popped up on SmackDown, including Gunther, Dominik Mysterio, Chad Gable, and Drew McIntyre. Braun Strowman moved to SmackDown as Carmelo Hayes' mystery opponent.
Some stars could use a change more than others and the Judgment Day falls into that category. The faction should move to SmackDown for the next five reasons.
#5. They're no longer the World Tag Team Champs
One reason the Judgment Day should leave RAW is because they just lost the World Tag Team Championships. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh won the belts back in June but had an incredibly forgettable run with the titles.
The duo only had two successful defenses before losing the belts to the War Raiders in their third match as champions. Without the titles anchoring them to RAW, Balor and McDonagh are free to move about brands.
If they remain a group and Balor and McDonagh a tag team, they could pursue the WWE Tag Team titles on the blue brand as a fresh challenge instead.
#4. The potential fracture could send both sides to SmackDown
There have been visible fractures within the Judgment Day over the last few months. Despite the Women's World Title and World Tag Team Championships both being held in the group, and the faction supposedly having no "leader", Liv Morgan and Finn Balor each gave the impression they were leading the group.
This has led to a fracture between Morgan's side with Dominik and Raquel Rodriguez and Balor's side with McDonagh and Carlito. Those cracks widened even further on the RAW after Saturday Night's Main Event.
Morgan boasted that she won at the show while Balor couldn't hold up his end of the bargain against Gunther and Damian Priest. It was more of a dig at Balor since he claimed "When we listen to Finn, the Judgment Day wins."
The group is headed for a fracture so breaking them up could either send one trio or all of the group to SmackDown. If they stay together, the group could mend the rift by terrorizing new stars.
#3. Leaving would open up a spot for a different group
If the Judgment Day leaves RAW for SmackDown, the void will be filled by another group. The Final Testament, Wyatt Sicks, or another faction could assume the featured spot previously dominated by the Judgment Day.
Karrion Kross is one of the most unique stars in wrestling at the moment and is able to cut mesmerizing promos but has lost most of his big feuds to date. If the booking matched up with his words, his group would have more credibility.
The Wyatt Sicks could eventually turn heel or Seth Rollins could form a new faction to dominate RAW. The Judgment Day moving brands would allow officials to put faith in different stars.
#2. A potential change in dynamics with certain stars
Another reason to potentially break up the Judgment Day for good and move some people to SmackDown is different crowd reactions. Finn Balor has bullied Dominik Mysterio and let his mouth get the group into unnecessary tussles that have come back to bite the faction.
Lately, however, Dominik has stepped up in matches against enemies Balor has made. The crowd was behind him against Gunther even though he lost.
A few members leaving RAW could refresh both sides. Dominik can finally get away from his father Rey Mysterio and further grow his brand as his own star.
#1. The Judgment Day needs a change of scenery
Another reason why the group should leave RAW is to see how they can do on SmackDown. For the last three-plus years, the Judgment Day has been the main group on Monday nights.
They've feuded with most of the top faces of the brands including Rhea Ripley, the New Day, Damian Priest, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn. Something big needs to change.
If WWE wants to shake things up, the top factions that have ruled over each show could either swap spots or do battle on SmackDown. Booking the top dogs of each brand against each other would be a perfect 4-on-4 match for the Royal Rumble or Saturday Night's Main Event.
