5 reasons Paige deserves to win the women's Royal Rumble & why she probably won't
Ever since her arrival in NXT several years ago, Paige has been a force to be reckoned with in the women's (formerly divas) division in WWE. Understandably so, considering her wrestling heritage. Her in-ring abilities spoke for themselves and were matched only by her talent on the microphone.
The world seemed to be at her feet. However, when medical and personal issues reared their ugly head she was forced to take a step back. Now, upon her return, it seems as though she has re-cemented herself as THE name in women's wrestling. Here are five reasons why Paige deserves to win the first-ever women's royal rumble, but sadly, probably won't.
#5 Wrestling is in the blood
Anyone who knows anything about Paige knows that she comes from a very working-class background. Her family travelled all over UK putting on wrestling shows in various small spaces and sports halls, with Paige itching to take part from a very young age.
By her teens, she was travelling across Europe as a semi-professional wrestler completely alone. Whether you call that dedication or naivety is up to you, but there's no doubt that the dedication that this woman has shown from such a young age, along with her heritage, puts her in good stead.
