5 Reasons The Shane McMahon vs Daniel Bryan Storyline Is Doomed to Fail
One of the biggest questions on The WWE Universe's mind is whether Daniel Bryan will come out of retirement for one more match at WrestleMania 34 and while the occasion would probably make the annual pay-per-view one of the most viewed in the company's history, it also comes at a price.
Unfortunately for The WWE Universe, that price is what it will do to Daniel Bryan's legacy in the long run and what fans have seen so far isn't painting a good picture of what is to come.
In fact, Dave Meltzer speculated on a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer that WWE was turning Daniel Bryan heel in order to make him less of a draw in the indies.
With that being said and the rumour now out in the open for everyone to see and decide for themselves, here are five reasons why The Daniel Bryan versus Shane McMahon feud is doomed to fail. Whether that actually happens or not remains to be seen and will play out in the weeks leading into WrestleMania 34, but it's definitely going to be interesting to watch.
#5 Bryan probably won't wrestle
At the time of this writing, Daniel Bryan has not been cleared to compete by WWE doctors and while several other doctors outside of the company have said he can compete, WWE seems to be steadfast in their ways on this one.
Unfortunately for The WWE Universe, this means that no matter what situation is set up in this storyline, fans are going to get a lacklustre or no blowoff.
In fact, it's probably more likely that WWE will have him involved in a match in some way shape or form and have him attack Shane McMahon after tempers boil over. Sure, that will probably lead to him doing his Yes Kicks or even locking McMahon into The Yes Lock, but neither are those worth the things fans are being given now.
With that begin said, a lacklustre payoff is only going to be a disappointing end to a disappointing storyline and could very well help tarnish the legacy of the fan favourite.
