5 reasons why Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey should be the main event at WrestleMania 35

It was what most fans wanted - a match between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35. The pair were supposed to face each other at Survivor Series, and the buildup to that match was epic in its own right (more on that later).

However, in the end Lynch had to drop out from the match as a precautionary measure for a concussion she had a few days earlier. As a result, Charlotte Flair took her place, much to the disappointment of the fans.

Ever since then, they had clamoured for this match to happen, and their prayers were answered as Lynch chose Rousey as her opposition for WrestleMania 35.

All is now right and fine with the world, but there is just one thing for this to reach perfection: the match between the Baddest Woman on the Planet and The Man should be the main event at the grandest stage of them all.

Here are five reasons why.

#5 Huge buildup

The buildup to this match began prior to Survivor Series in November 2018. While the usual bragging on the mic is a very common thing wrestlers do, Lynch took it to another level when she, along with some other SmackDown women wrestlers, invaded RAW as a means to make a statement.

Lynch ultimately had to pay for it as Nia Jax knocked her out with a punch during a major in-ring fracas, making her suffer from a concussion which subsequently ruled her out of the main match at Survivor Series.

However, not before she attacked Rousey in her own yard, locked her in a dis-arm-her, and made her writhe in pain. It was the boiling point of the feud between the two, but it didn’t get the release point it should have.

With so much emotional and storyline investment in this feud, a main event spot at Mania is what this feud deserves.
