5 Reasons why Matt Hardy returned & the Hardy Boyz reunited on WWE SmackDown Live

Why did Matt and Jeff Hardy reunite on the blue brand?

WWE has been just great this week, hasn't it? Roman Reigns returned and so did Batista, Becky Lynch got arrested and Kevin Owens returned. And just when it seemed like we had seen it all, the Hardy Boyz returned. Matt Hardy is back from injury and he's back on SmackDown Live.

Wait, why was this team reunited once again? After all, Matt Hardy had been teaming with Bray Wyatt on WWE RAW not long ago. Why did that team come to an untimely end and this team come together suddenly?

The answer is quite obvious if you think about it, very honestly. I shall elaborate on the same in this article.

#5 WrestleMania opponents for The Usos

It is now amply clear that Shane McMahon and The Miz are not a team anymore after their short-lived run. And this means that The Usos need credible opponents for SmackDown Live. And because The Bar has been doing jobs on the blue brand, it is quite clear that they wouldn't be the team for the job, to say it plainly.

We also know that The Usos contracts run out shortly after WrestleMania and to keep them in the company, there is an added emphasis on tag team wrestling right now. WWE can always pit them against The Club or SAnitY but those matches simply aren't big enough. WWE hasn't given them enough screen time for them to be taken seriously.

I really want to see The Usos take on the Hardy Boyz because it feels like a big match. And it also feels like a fresh feud between the old guard and the new one.
