WWE Smackdown : 4 Reasons why Mustafa Ali returned to help Kevin Owens

Last night on SmackDown, we were part of an interesting episode from the blue brand, where Samoa Joe won his first main roster title by defeating United States champion R-Truth in a Fatal 4-Way match also involving Andrade and Rey Mysterio.
Another big highlight of the show was the return of Mustafa Ali, who suffered a concussion at a WWE live event last month. This occurred just one week before the WWE title Elimination Chamber match, where Ali was expected to be one of the participants inside the chamber.
He was later replaced by Kofi Kingston, who put up an excellent performance, not only inside the chamber but also in the gauntlet match on SmackDown. Kingston was expected to face Bryan at Fastlane until he was replaced by Kevin Owens last week by Vince McMahon.
Ali returned to SmackDown, after the match between Owens and Rowan, which ended in a disqualification when Bryan interfered in the match. Then both Bryan and Rowan beatdown Owens in a 2-on-1 situation until Ali made the save.
So here are four possible reasons why Ali returned to help Owens on SmackDown...
#4 To be in the corner of Kevin Owens at Fastlane

WWE champion Daniel Bryan is set to defend his title against Kevin Owens next Sunday at Fastlane pay-per-view. The match will definitely be solid because Owens and Bryan are currently two of the best in-ring performers in WWE.
However, this match will be completely ruined if Bryan's backup Rowan interferes. As noted, Rowan returned two months ago at the Royal Rumble event, attacking AJ Styles during the WWE title match and helping Bryan retain his title.
Since Mustafa Ali has returned, he can possibly be in the corner of Owens at Fastlane and make sure that Rowan stays away from this contest. This way the match between Bryan and Owens will be fair and square, also Owens would get a great backup.
