5 reasons why Seth Rollins keeps desperately calling out CM Punk for a match
Seth Rollins has been picking a fight with CM Punk ever since he first appeared on WWE Backstage. Rollins first tweeted at Punk after his debut on the show, asking him to fight. Punk responded the next week, telling Rollins to stop tweeting so much and that it's better if fans think he's a fool than for him to confirm it.
Rollins, in an interview with 101 WKQK fired back at CM Punk, telling him that how much ever he says that he's on FOX's payroll and not WWE, the show wouldn't exist without the company. He defended WWE heavily as they were the company that "made his dreams come true" and is responsible for the well-being of his family. He further stated that he wants to face Punk at WrestleMania 36.
"For me, the only place the match happens is at WrestleMania, in the main event. If he's interested, it's out there. Any time you're ready, let's go."
Let's take a look at a few reasons why Rollins keeps calling out Punk for a match.
#5. A personal dream match of his
The last time that Rollins and Punk faced off was on December 30th, 2013. It was just shy of a month before CM Punk's WWE run came to an abrupt and the feeling would probably have been that they could have had a better match, especially since it was just a throwaway match on RAW.
Rollins has grown exponentially since then and knows that a match against Punk would be big and could truly end up being the dream match that he wanted. Their history goes back a bit, with Punk confronting Rollins back when he was NXT Champion. This could be unfinished business for The Architect.
