5 reasons why WrestleMania 34 is the best pro wrestling match card ever presented
The biggest professional wrestling extravaganza is back with a bang, in less than 4 hours WWE will present it's 34th annual WrestleMania Grand Spectacle. It's the time of the year when professional wrestling fans assemble across the world for the biggest festival of the year
Ever since its first edition back in 1985, WrestleMania season is usually the time of the year when the WWE brings out the biggest storylines and rivalries from the past year that culminate with a grudge match at the biggest stage.
Match cards like the ones presented at 'Mania X-Seven and 'Mania 31 are considered to be among the best wrestling match cards ever presented in history.
However due to the way WWE stacked up the card for WrestleMania 34, there is a very strong argument that it is actually WWE's best ever match card.
Whether the performers will live up to the hype or not is a whole different debate, but this show is stacked from the top to the bottom. Here are 5 solid reason why this is the best professional wrestling match card ever presented.
#5 All main roster titles defended on the main show
Does anyone recall the last time when all the active main roster titles were defended at WrestleMania? It's certainly tough, but it was back at WrestleMania X-8, a full 16 years ago. Titles are meant to be a sign of respect for the wrestlers holding them, yet every single year since 2002, at least one main roster title has failed to make it to WrestleMania.
This year however would be the first time in 16 years that every single active title on the roster will be up for grabs at 'Mania. Not only that, there is a proper storyline and animosity between the superstars involved in those title matches. Title matches usually are more compelling and are taken more seriously by the fans.
Now, the cruiserweight title might be on the pre show, but let's face the fact - WWE doesn't take cruiserweight division seriously. As a matter of fact, one can make a strong case that the title would gain even more credibility if it were defended solely on NXT. Who knows, had the title been defended on NXT Takeover, they might have stolen the show aswell.
