5 records from the Men's Royal Rumble match
The 2018 Men's Royal Rumble match was somewhat overshadowed as the women of WWE made history at the 31st annual event, but it seems that even the men will be able to say that they broke a few records in 2018.
It was the first time that the men had gone on third instead of being the last or the penultimate match of the event, but it seems that they made it work and there were a number of surprise entries that even the dirtsheet reporters failed to pick up on.
Nakamura may have been the man who now gets to main event WrestleMania because of his win, but it seems that history was made as part of the match a number of times last night.
#5. Rumble appearance records
Last night saw a number of changes when it comes to the list of appearances in Royal Rumble matches. It seems that Goldust has now moved up to joint second along with Shawn Michaels and The Big Show with 12 appearances in the annual event.
The Miz is now joint third with The Undertaker with 11 appearances, Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston are now joint fourth along with Mark Henry, Chris Jericho and Rikishi with 10 appearances, whilst John Cena moved into joint fifth along with Triple H, R-Truth and Mable.
Even though Kane wasn't part of last night's match, he still holds the record for the most appearances with 19.
