5 Returns that could happen at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

While it's not on the same level as a major WWE premium live event, Saturday Night's Main Event is still shaping up to be a great card. Gunther will defend his World Heavyweight title against Finn Balor, while Cody Rhodes will face Kevin Owens again.

Liv Morgan will finally put her title on the line against IYO SKY. Other matches will likely be added on next week's RAW and SmackDown. Brock Lesnar's re-emergence in the promotion could be on the horizon but will probably be saved for a bigger show.

With so many title matches being booked, big returns could be in store to set things up for the RAW debut on Netflix. The following five WWE stars could make shocking returns at Saturday Night's Main Event.

#5. Braun Strowman has had an up-and-down 2024

If The Monster of All Monsters doesn't show up on next week's RAW, he could storm into the ring at Saturday Night's Main Event. He's been out of action for a few months but might be nearing a return to action.

Strowman was battling Bronson Reed before his latest injury but will likely pivot to a different challenge upon his return to RAW. He's faced Gunther in the past but would be a worthy challenger for the World Heavyweight title.

The former Universal Champion could emerge after Gunther's clash with Finn Balor to stake his claim to a future title shot.

#4. Randy Orton will be gunning for Kevin Owens

Randy Orton has been out of action since Kevin Owens piledrived him on SmackDown. The Prizefighter tried to get the world to understand his position, but no one was willing to listen.

When he finally explained his actions with some logical reasoning, Cody Rhodes and commentators called him delusional. The Viper has been in the middle of the drama and could return to strike at Saturday Night's Main Event.

He could assist The American Nightmare against Owens or appear after the match. What he does, however, will determine whether he remains loyal to Rhodes or goes out on his own.

#3. Omos has been waiting for a big opportunity

One huge mistake of Triple H's New Era in WWE has been not using Omos. The Nigerian Giant was never going to wrestle a five-star classic due to his size and the restrictions it creates.

His imposing figure alone is a spectacle and worth some spotlight occasionally. Using him only once in a Battle Royal has been a massive misstep for a truly unique star.

Omos could easily run roughshod on the roster to vent his frustrations with this treatment. Brawls break out every week, and stars are mysteriously attacked on every WWE brand.

The Nigerian Giant could also target Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event, leading to a huge spectacle match at an upcoming event.

#2. Gunther's disrespect could haunt him at Saturday Night's Main Event

Goldberg's inevitable return could come at any time. There is no shortage of big opportunities to bring the WWE legend back within the next month. RAW's debut on Netflix is less than a month away.

Saturday Night's Main Event will go down twice before the Royal Rumble on February 1. With so many events to stock with worthy matches, Goldberg's return has to come within the next month.

He can hit The Ring General with a Spear and hold up the title like everyone does after attacking the Champ. WWE can then pick which show to book the title clash.

#1. Becky Lynch isn't injured

One interesting recent media event showcased both Netflix and WWE officials and several stars. Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Cody Rhodes flanked Triple H and Nick Khan.

Some folks were surprised by Becky Lynch's appearance at the event. The Man has been absent from WWE since her contract expired in June of this year. Due to injuries and a lack of top star power, both women's divisions could use her.

Liv Morgan also cheated Lynch out of the Women's World Championship. She could re-emerge at Saturday Night's Main Event to pursue the title she lost. It would be a great moment and a return that would help bolster the division.
