5 shockers that could happen at WWE Fastlane 2019
Elimination Chamber was a mind-boggling PPV, and it definitely met the expectations of the WWE Universe. Numerous titles were defended at Toyota Center, but the US title and Universal title were not on the line. Though some bouts were prodigious, some matches let down the fans.
Fastlane is the upcoming PPV of WWE which will take place at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. There is no denying that the show has an immense significance, as it is the final PPV before the Show of Shows in New Jersey. Some of the storylines are likely to continue till WrestleMania, and the fans will get a clear view of the WrestleMania match-card after Fastlane.
The Raw after Elimination Chamber had some shockers as four NXT Superstars were drafted to the main roster. Since all the NXT call ups started their main roster careers on winning notes, they are expected to play a significant role at Fastlane.
Moreover, the former Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, is scheduled to appear on Raw next week, and it will be interesting to see if he will play an essential part in WrestleMania 35.
Here we discuss five shockers that could happen at Fastlane.
#5 Lacey Evans could have a first one-on-one match
Lacey Evans was one of the six NXT call ups drafted to the main roster last year. However, she has not wrestled in a one-on-one bout after making her main roster debut. Her sole main roster performance was at Royal Rumble when she entered the women's Royal Rumble match at number one.
It is unclear what WWE wants to do with Evans, and her gimmick has confused the WWE Universe. Evans appeared at Elimination Chamber and on the Raw after Elimination Chamber, but she returned a minute later. There is no denying it is frustrating for the fans, but WWE could have bigger plans for Evans.
Considering Evans lasted 29 minutes in the women's Royal Rumble match, she definitely made a mark. In fact, she also eliminated the IIconics before Charlotte Flair threw her out of the squared circle. The former Raw and SmackDown women's champion, Alexa Bliss, made her in-ring return at Royal Rumble, and she could be a credible opponent for Evans at Fastlane.
