What a week!

The WWE Universe was treated to everything, from an NXT cross promotion to a new number one contender being named for Daniel Bryan's WWE title. Of course, whether they follow up on these things remains to be seen and will depend on the company's faith in the idea, but it was pretty interesting nonetheless.

Beyond that, they all tell an overarching story of WWE experimenting with different things. Sure, not everything is going to come out right and fans might sometimes be disappointed with the results, but the fact that the company is trying in itself should matter. It will only end up making the product great and more enjoyable again.

With that being said and another week of WWE programming in the books, here are five things WWE hinted at this week. As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below and also tell us what you think WWE hinted at this week.

#5. WWE giving up on Intergender wrestling again

Looks like no more intergender wrestling for Nia Jax.

It was cool while it lasted.

Unfortunately for the portion of the WWE Universe that wants to see men and women going up against each other in head to combat, WWE seems to have nixed the idea for the time being. Maybe it was due to a negative response, or maybe enough people complained, but it looks to be very clear that the company is not going forward with it.

While it's not the end of the world that this is happening, especially with the limited amount of superstars that could believably take part in something like this, it is disappointing to see WWE give up in such fashion. Beyond that, it's even more disappointing to watch them give up on something especially when they were creating magic with it!

Of course, not everyone is going to agree with that, but when Nia Jax took R-Truth's place in the Royal Rumble match, the crowd came unglued. When she started eliminating people, the crowd was in shock and when she was finally RKO'd the fans cheered. If nothing else, that proves this kind of booking can get a positive reaction if they would just keep experimenting with it a bit!
