5: The Mega Powers Explode

An unstoppable team, Savage's paranoia was the end of the Mega Powers.
An unstoppable team, Savage's paranoia was the end of the Mega Powers.

In the 2000s, it was John Cena and Batista.

In the Attitude Era, it was Austin and The Rock.

And in the Hulkamania era, it was Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage.

The two biggest stars of their time, fans were electric when the Hulkster and the Macho Man teamed up to form the Mega Powers, a truly uncrushable team.

Down the line though, it was the Savage's Macho Madness that would cause a divide between the two, as he grew paranoid on the friendship between Hogan and Miss Elizabeth.

Playing on Savage's real over-protection of Elizabeth, his paranoia eventually got the best of him, as he attacked the Hulkster backstage.

Meeting at WrestleMania 5, the two titans of the era squared off in the main event, though it was Hogan who emerged the new WWF Champion.
