5 Signs Roman Reigns will not return at WWE SummerSlam alone - Major stars absent from TV, RAW reunion
Roman Reigns has not appeared on WWE television since Cody Rhodes dethroned him at WrestleMania XL. The American Nightmare will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam next month. Reigns has spent the past few months on hiatus from the company, and a lot has changed in The Bloodline.
Solo Sikoa has named himself the new Tribal Chief and booted Jimmy Uso out after he lost to Jey Uso at The Show of Shows. The new version of The Bloodline also attacked Paul Heyman after he refused to acknowledge Sikoa as his Tribal Chief. Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu have joined the faction in recent weeks. Hikuleo is also rumored to have signed up with the company.
Listed below are five signs that Roman Reigns will not be returning at WWE SummerSlam alone.
#5. Sami Zayn and Jey Uso have become friends again on WWE RAW
Sami Zayn was once known as The Honorary Uce in The Bloodline before refusing to participate in the attack on Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble 2023. Zayn went on to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber 2023 in his hometown of Montreal but failed to capture the title.
Zayn and Main Event Jey teamed up to defeat The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh on last night's main event. Roman Reigns could be watching during his WWE hiatus and attempting to reform the original Bloodline before his return.
#4. Roman Reigns could have reached out to Paul Heyman
The new Bloodline betrayed Paul Heyman on the June 28 edition of WWE SmackDown. The Wiseman refused to acknowledge Solo Sikoa as his new Tribal Chief, and the 31-year-old responded by hitting the Hall of Famer with a Samoan Spike. Heyman was then Powerbombed through the announce table and has not appeared on the blue brand since.
Roman Reigns likely saw the heinous attack on his manager and reached out to him afterward. If the Head of the Table returns at SummerSlam, it isn't easy to imagine Paul Heyman not being by his side.
#3. Jimmy Uso still has not returned to WWE television
Jimmy Uso sacrificed much for Roman Reigns, including his relationship with his brother. The veteran interfered in the Tribal Combat match at last year's SummerSlam and helped Roman Reigns defeat Jey Uso. The betrayal caused Jey Uso to leave The Bloodline behind and become a singles star on RAW.
Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso could have reconnected during their time away from the company. The original Bloodline members may be devising a plan to return together and combat Solo Sikoa's group moving forward.
#2. Roman Reigns could return at SummerSlam with Solo Sikoa's father
Hall of Famer Rikishi is the father of The Usos and Solo Sikoa in real life. The legend has hinted that he could return to the company as a part of The Bloodline storyline.
Roman Reigns could contact the 58-year-old and ask him to attend SummerSlam. Solo Sikoa would have difficulty staying focused on his Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes if his father showed up out of nowhere at the PLE next month in Cleveland, Ohio.
#1. The Rock has not appeared since the RAW after WrestleMania
The Rock was initially supposed to battle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL, but plans were changed following the "#WeWantCody" movement on social media. The Great One turned heel, joined The Bloodline, and teamed with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event of Night 1 of WrestleMania.
Reigns and The Final Boss could still be on good terms, and The Rock could make a stunning return during the Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam. The Rock may still be aligned with Roman Reigns or may potentially attack the 39-year-old and become the leader of the new version of The Bloodline.
