5 signs that WWE is no longer invested in Dean Ambrose
Is WWE trying to bury Dean Ambrose?
While one might think that's a ridiculous statement, especially after the blockbuster interaction the Lunatic Fringe had with Triple H and the possible implications of the encounter, the way WWE has used Ambrose on television lately proves otherwise. In fact, it seems to show that the company is trying to bury him before his big exit.
Whether that's true or not remains to be seen, and will become more obvious as Ambrose's Road To WrestleMania 35 becomes more clear, but there is serious evidence to support that WWE is actively working to bury the former champion. Interestingly enough, there is also evidence that WWE has known Ambrose's intentions for some time and have planned accordingly.
With that being said and Ambrose now officially in the final months of his WWE contract, here are five signs that WWE is punishing The Lunatic Fringe for wanting to leave the company. As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below and also be sure to tell us whether you think Ambrose will actually leave the company or not.
#5 An early exit from The Royal Rumble
12 minutes.
That's how long Dean Ambrose lasted in the 2019 Men's Royal Rumble, and statistically, it was his worst showing ever in that type of match. Beyond that, Ambrose was eliminated before the midway point of the match, which ruined any chance of Ambrose and Rollins battling it out to be the final two.
In the end, WWE not using Ambrose versus Rollins as the final two in the Royal Rumble was very telling. In fact, it seemed to show that WWE is not happy with Ambrose's decision to leave the company after his contract expires. Furthermore, it shows that WWE will not do much with the Ambrose character between now and then.
