5 signs from WWE SmackDown that point toward Roman Reigns' SummerSlam return - New stipulation, huge shot at Solo Sikoa

Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns in the main event of Night Two of WrestleMania XL to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship. The Head of the Table was spotted sharing an emotional moment with Paul Heyman following the match and has not returned to WWE television since the loss.

The American Nightmare will be defending the title against The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa tomorrow night at WWE SummerSlam. The two stars kicked off tonight's show with a fiery promo and a major stipulation was added to the match.

Listed below are five signs from WWE SmackDown that point toward Roman Reigns' SummerSlam return.

The Rock and Roman Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a tag team match during Night One of WrestleMania XL. As a result of the victory, the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Reigns and Rhodes was made into a Bloodline Rules match, essentially meaning anything goes. However, the outside interference from The Bloodline was not enough for Reigns at WrestleMania XL and Rhodes emerged victorious.

It was announced during tonight's SmackDown that Rhodes and Sikoa will be competing in a Bloodline Rules match tomorrow night. Roman Reigns now has a free pass to show up during the title match at SummerSlam and get involved in the action.

#4. Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa will be the main event of the premium live event

The card for this year's SummerSlam is absolutely stacked and will feature six title matches. The only match without a title on the line is the highly anticipated clash between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, with Seth Rollins serving as the Special Guest Referee.

Earlier today, it was reported that Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa will be the main event of tomorrow night's PLE. The Bloodline Rules stipulation could mean that the promotion has something major planned for the end of SummerSlam. Roman Reigns could potentially return in the final moments of the premium live event tomorrow night in Cleveland, Ohio.

#3. Paul Heyman still has not returned to WWE television

The Bloodline has changed dramatically during Roman Reigns' hiatus from the company. Solo Sikoa kicked Jimmy Uso out of the group after he lost to Jey Uso at WrestleMania XL, and has welcomed Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu to the faction.

Sikoa wanted Paul Heyman to acknowledge him as his Tribal Chief on the June 28 edition of SmackDown. However, The Wiseman refused and Sikoa reacted by ordering The Bloodline to Powerbomb the Hall of Famer through the announce table. Heyman has remained loyal to Roman Reigns during his absence, and could be getting set to return with the former champion tomorrow night.

#2. The crowd loudly chanted "We Want Roman!" tonight on SmackDown

The WWE Universe has made it known that they miss Roman Reigns on SmackDown. They have chanted "We want Roman!" several times in recent weeks, and did so again tonight during the promo between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa.

Reigns put together a historic title reign before losing at WrestleMania and has likely earned the respect of WWE fans. The 39-year-old could potentially return at SummerSlam as a babyface and get a massive pop from the fans at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

#1. Cody Rhodes claimed Solo Sikoa was a "wannabe" on SmackDown

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes had a two year rivalry with Roman Reigns that finally culminated with him finishing his story at WrestleMania XL. It took everything he had to capture the title from Reigns, and the 38-year-old clearly does not have the same respect for Solo Sikoa on SmackDown.

Solo Sikoa has named himself the new Tribal Chief during Reigns' time away and has the chance to dethrone Rhodes tomorrow night at SummerSlam. However, Rhodes referred to Sikoa as a "wannabe" Tribal Chief and does not appear to be intimidated by the 31-year-old. Roman Reigns could return tomorrow at SummerSlam following the title match to state that he is "The Original Tribal Chief" and begin a captivating storyline with the new version of The Bloodline.
