5 stars who must win at WWE Crown Jewel
WWE Crown Jewel 2024 is almost here. The big-time premium live event is the second to last for RAW and SmackDown in 2024. The only other big show lined up to stream is Survivor Series WarGames later this month.
As such, tonight's show is stacked. The Bloodline will have a Six-Man Tag Team Match with both sides ready to go to war. Additionally, two new Crown Jewel Champions will be crowned, the United States Championship is on the line, and the Women's Tag Team Titles are up for grabs.
The show is stacked, but Triple H and World Wrestling Entertainment officials must be careful with how they book the show. There are numerous talented performers on the card who are on the cusp of reaching new heights.
As such, these names cannot afford to lose in such a high-profile spot. This article will take a look at five performers set for matches at Crown Jewel who must stand tall and win their bouts. This includes potential main roster call-ups and a long-time veteran.
Below are five stars who must win at WWE Crown Jewel.
#5. Tiffany Stratton needs to successfully cash in
The first-ever Women's Crown Jewel Champion will be decided later today. WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax will be going one-on-one with the Women's World Champion Liv Morgan. The two world champions will battle it out to determine the top champion in the company.
One person who will be watching the bout closely is Tiffany Stratton. Stratton won the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match this past summer and has a guaranteed world title match any time she wants it. The Buff Barbie has teased cashing it in at WWE Crown Jewel.
Not only should Tiffany cash in today, but she should win whichever title she attempts to win. While holding the briefcase for a while is fun, the company has already heavily teased a cash-in attempt numerous times now. Cashing in before it gets stale is smart and it would also elevate Stratton to the Tiffy top.
#4. Bronson Reed must defeat Seth Rollins at WWE Crown Jewel
One of the most highly anticipated bouts on WWE Crown Jewel is a match that few would have seen coming a handful of months ago. Big Bronson Reed will be going one-on-one with Seth Rollins.
The issues between the two seemingly came out of nowhere. Bronson viciously attacked The Visionary on WWE RAW and injured the former world champion. Seth later returned and cost Bronson Reed a win against Braun Strowman. The two have been at war ever since.
While Seth winning a big match is always nice, he doesn't need a victory under his belt. Bronson, on the other hand, would benefit greatly if he were to defeat The Visionary. Big Bronson defeating a former world champion at Crown Jewel would elevate him to new heights, so a win is a must.
#3. Lash Legend & #2. Jakara Jackson, Meta-Four must win big if they're remaining on the main roster
The WWE Women's Tag Team Titles have been revived in 2024. The belts have been defended on numerous premium live events and stories have actually been told utilizing the champions and titles. Triple H created a miracle.
At Crown Jewel, the reigning WWE Women's Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will defend the belts in a Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Match. Their opponents will be Meta-Four, Damage CTRL, and the duo of Chelsea Green & Piper Niven.
Meta-Four, consisting of Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, should win the match. The two have proven that they are main roster-ready, but if they lose, it gives them zero momentum. However, if Lash and Jakara win, it could elevate them to new heights and shock fans all over. This could be how they're called up.
#1. Kevin Owens needs to defeat Randy Orton
The most personal feud at WWE Crown Jewel might not be The Bloodline's battles, nor Gunther vs. Cody Rhodes. Instead, former friends are ready to clash when Kevin Owens and Randy Orton go one-on-one.
The story of the match came when Kevin Owens shockingly turned on Cody Rhodes and then later Randy Orton. He claims Cody turned on him by working with Roman Reigns at WWE Bad Blood. The Prizefighter then claimed Orton chose Cody's side over his.
If the long-term goal is for Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes to clash again, Kevin Owens must win at Crown Jewel. Not only that but if his heel turn is to be truly successful, the win would give him much-needed momentum. Orton never needs a win and he certainly doesn't need it at the premium live event over Kevin.
