5 Superstars who would gain the most with a win at WrestleMania
There iare a number of reasons why WrestleMania is called the Grandest Stage of Them All. Not only is it the biggest show of the year of the biggest professional wrestling organization in the world and is the longest running wrestling pay per view in history, the event has a history of turning Superstars into megastars with just one win.
Just take the case of Shawn Michaels in 1996, Steve Austin in 1998 or John Cena and Batista in 2005. Their World Title wins at WrestleMania benefited them in such a way that it turned them into the top guys of the promotion. However. it is not only a World Title victory at WrestleMania that benefits a Superstar.
Take, for example, Edge in 2005 and Brock Lesnar in 2014, whose victories in the Money in the Bank Ladder match and over The Undertaker catapulted them to a level of stardom that maybe even a World Title win could not have helped them achieve. Just like them, these five Superstars would benefit the most with a memorable win at WrestleMania 35.
#5 Aleister Black and Ricochet
Aleister Black and Ricochet's rise on the main roster in the past couple of months has been just magnificent. Despite being main event stars during their run in NXT, the two were shockingly together upon their main roster debut and, to the surprise of everyone, have actually done a lot to improve the quality of the tag team division on Raw and Smackdown.
Now, after challenging for both NXT and Raw Tag Team Titles earlier this week and coming up short on both occasions, they now have a shot at the Blue Brand's Tag Titles at WrestleMania 35. And while it would have been nice to see them stay on Raw as the brand's tag champions, a victory at WrestleMania 35 would be the best for this team's near future.
Not only do the tag titles on Smackdown feel more important than their Raw counterparts, they have a sextet of highly acclaimed superstars to fight for those titles. A win over The Usos, The Bar and Nakamura/Rusev would shoot them to the top of the Tag Team Division on Smackdown and will also allow The Usos or The Bar to make a jump to Raw to strenthen the tag division on the Red Brand.
