5 superstars WWE need to push this month (May 2019)
The one advantage WWE has over so many other wrestling promotions in the world is the depth of their rosters, as the Raw, SmackDown Live, 205 Live, and NXT rosters are completely stacked with superstars that can carry the show if given the chance.
Wrestling bookers know the importance of having a stacked roster because injuries or contractual disputes between the company and their top wrestlers wouldn't really affect their product, because there is always someone waiting to fill that spot.
Just look at Dean Ambrose's supposed departure from the company, while at first, it seemed like Ambrose's absence would cause problems for the company in terms of finding wrestlers to fill his place, it certainly has not done much damage, as the company has the talent to cover that vacant spot.
However, with all the opportunities WWE presents to their stars, there is still a whole host of wrestlers left without a proper place in the grand scheme of things. So we look at the stars WWE needs to consider pushing in May, as taking things one step at a time seems like a solid plan in making the WWE roster relevant.
#1 Andrade
It is truly now or never for the former NXT Champion, as when Andrade first debuted on the main roster back in 2018 many were thoroughly convinced he would fall into obscurity, as the SmackDown Live roster was so deep it is easy for the most prominent stars to get left behind. But rumors had circulated that Vince McMahon himself saw potential in Andrade and would give him the chance to shine.
For reference, that rumor first surfaced about six months ago, and WWE has done absolutely nothing with 'El Idolo' in that time, and while Andrade's feud with Rey Mysterio felt like a throwback to the ruthless aggression era SmackDown, it really led nowhere. As we got the white-hot build, awesome matches, but no real conclusion.
That is exactly what Andrade needs right now, he needs his conclusion, as a conclusion in his character arc of being the arrogant youngster who is better than most would like to give him credit for, needs to be reached.
In May WWE needs to turn a new leaf with this man, as we need to see a transition from cocky upstart to a genuine main event heel. At Money in the Bank, WWE probably has their best chance to accomplish this feat, as Andrade walking away with the briefcase would be a decision most would take with open arms.
