5 surprise entrants we would love to see in the greatest royal rumble match

The Greatest Royal Rumble
History will be made at Jeddah!

WWE's "Greatest Royal Rumble" event is set to emanate from the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 27th April 2018.

With just a couple of days left for the big event, the WWE universe is humming about the potential surprise returns that can happen at the 50 men battle royal.

Cageside Seats have reported that multiple surprise entrants are planned for the event. The return of superstars like Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho is already announced for the event.

The show is also set to feature seven championship matches and two non-title matches apart from the 50 men Royal Rumble.

Speculations are already high on which superstars will be entering the greatest royal rumble match.

With that said, let's look into the five surprise entrants we'd love to see in the greatest royal rumble match.

#5 Alberto Del Rio

Alberto Del Rio
Del Rio won the 2011 Royal Rumble

Despite the fact he didn't leave the company on great terms, Del Rio is very much open to a WWE return.

Del Rio left the WWE in 2016 due to creative differences with the company. He would then go on to wrestle for Impact Wrestling under the ring name Alberto El Patron.

Del Rio is no longer working for Impact Wrestling as he was released earlier this month following his no-show to the Lucha Underground vs Impact Wrestling event in New Orleans.

Del Rio was quite vocal when asked about making a return to the WWE and it could materialise at the greatest royal rumble event.

Del Rio is no stranger when it comes to Royal Rumbles as he won a 40-man Royal Rumble match in 2011.

Del Rio does not have much gas left in his tank and it's about time that both sides reach an agreement and facilitate his big return to the WWE.
