5 Surprises that could happen after Fastlane 2019
Fastlane 2019 is still two days away, and it will be the final pay-per-view before WrestleMania 35. The match-card was completed just last week following the go-home shows of both Raw and SmackDown.
Nine matches have been advertised for the event. Some of the highlights will be The Shield reuniting for the first time since Roman Reigns announced his remission and Becky Lynch getting a chance to be added back to the Raw Women's Title match at WrestleMania 35.
Surely the event will be filled with surprises as we get closer and closer to WrestleMania. However, the fans can keep their expectations high as WWE might have stored some more surprises for them following the event.
Now, I have already predicted five surprises that could happen at the Fastlane pay-per-view, but here are five possible surprises that could happen after Fastlane...
#5 A heel Sami Zayn returns to challenge Intercontinental Champion Finn Bálor
Intercontinental Champion Finn Bálor will not be defending his title at Fastlane pay-per-view, he won the title just last month at the Elimination Chamber event by defeating Lio Rush and the former champion Bobby Lashley in a 2-on-1 handicap match.
Since then Bálor has defended this title once against Rush, but Bálor won't be feuding with him at WrestleMania 35, The Extraordinary Man needs a solid opponent for the Show of Shows that will be worthy enough to face him, and who could be better than Sami Zayn?
Zayn has been rumored to return very soon. He injured both of his rotator cuffs back in June, and his recovery time was expected to be for six months. Recently, he also begin his training in the Performance Center in Florida.
This would be a perfect rivalry for a returning Zayn, both are former NXT superstars, so they would definitely have a great match at WrestleMania, and it can also possibly give Zayn his first main roster title since arriving two years ago.
