5 terrible storylines Triple H has been involved in
Triple H has had a long and illustrious career as a professional wrestler. He has won 14 WWE World Titles, 5 Intercontinental Championships, 3 Tag Team Championships, and Two European Championships as well as The King of The Ring Tournament in 1997 and The Royal Rumble in 2002 and 2016.
He has been involved in some of the most memorable factions in the history of the business including D-Generation X and Evolution. He has feuded with the greatest of the greats and has had some of the most memorable WWE storylines ever since he became a main event player in the late 1990s.
However, that doesn’t mean it’s all been smooth sailing for The Game. Despite his unquestionable success, he has been involved with some pretty terrible storylines as well. After all, even the greatest professional wrestlers to ever lace on a pair of boots have had less than memorable moments.
So, without any further ado, let’s dive into our list of 5 terrible storylines that Triple H has been involved in:
#5 The Roman Reigns feud
During his run as the leader of The Authority, Triple H became embroiled in a feud with the most popular wrestler to have ever stepped foot into the WWE – Roman Reigns. As you would expect, the fans soundly rejected Reigns – who was the babyface – and got behind Triple H – the heel – instead.
When he made an unexpected appearance in the 2016 Royal Rumble and won the whole thing to become a 14 time WWE Champion, there was only one way the storyline was going to end: With The Game putting over and dropping the belt to the Roman Empire at Wrestlemania 32.
What ensued was one of the most roundly rejected feuds in recent memory, and the culmination of that was the main event of Wrestlemania 32. When The Big Dog picked up the victory against The King of Kings, the boos were thunderous. There wasn’t anything wrong with the feud really, except for the fact that Roman Reigns was involved.
