5 things Cody Rhodes should do in WWE if he turns heel in 2024 - Hire a new manager, cheat to defeat major star & more
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has established himself as the top babyface in the company, but there is always the possibility he could turn heel down the line. The SmackDown star will be teaming up with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to take on The Bloodline at WWE Money in the Bank 2024 this Saturday night in Toronto.
Ahead of Money in the Bank, Rhodes shared an advertisement for Amazon Prime's popular show The Boys and seemingly portrays a bad guy in the video. The American Nightmare never turned heel during his time in All Elite Wrestling, but that could change now that he is a WWE Superstar once again.
Listed below are five things Cody Rhodes should do if he were to turn heel in 2024.
#5. Cody Rhodes could become a part-time WWE Superstar as a heel
Cody Rhodes could branch into Hollywood and become a major star outside of WWE in the months ahead. The veteran's popularity has become undeniable, and he could use that to establish himself as an actor as well.
The WWE Universe would likely become disgruntled if Rhodes started reducing his dates in order to appease his acting schedule. He could use that energy from the crowd to make it seem like he was above them and they should be grateful he even showed up at all.
#4. He should hire Paul Heyman as his manager
Roman Reigns struggled as a babyface during his career but he was taken to the next level once he aligned with Paul Heyman. The Wiseman helped guide The Tribal Chief to an incredible title reign that finally came to an end at the hands of Cody Rhodes at WWE WrestleMania XL.
Rhodes has hinted that he wanted to have a manager in WWE, as he had Arn Anderson by his side during his stint in All Elite Wrestling. He may feel compelled to approach Paul Heyman for guidance down the line if the fans start to turn against him.
#3. Rhodes could acknowledge Solo Sikoa as the new Tribal Chief
Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline attacked Cody Rhodes following his victory over AJ Styles at Clash at the Castle last month. The former AEW star will be teaming up with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to battle The Bloodline in a massive 6-man tag team match at Money in the Bank Premium Live Event on Saturday.
If Rhodes were to turn heel, he could grow to respect Solo Sikoa over time. The fans have been chanting "We want Roman!" during Reigns hiatus, and Rhodes could disappoint fans as a heel by referring to Sikoa as the new Tribal Chief.
#2. Cody Rhodes may cheat to defeat Randy Orton
Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes are working together at the moment, but the two stars could become rivals again at some point in the future. Rhodes mentioned that he should have been defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against a worthy opponent rather than dealing with The Bloodline this past Friday night on SmackDown.
The Viper shot Rhodes a look after the comment and seemingly hinted that he has eyes on the title. If he defended the title against Orton, Rhodes could resort to cheating to overcome The Legend Killer. This would anger wrestling fans as it would spoil what would be considered a dream match for many viewers.
#1. Cody Rhodes could change his theme song
Wrestling fans have learned all of the words to Cody Rhodes' theme song and sing along every time the Undisputed WWE Champion makes his way to the ring. However, Rhodes may not be interested in love from the fans if he were to turn to the dark side.
Instead of Kingdom by Downstait blaring through the speakers, the 39-year-old could change his music to something without words. This would take away a major fan interaction for the SmackDown star and further illustrate a character change for Rhodes.
