5 Things that could happen when The Undertaker returns
Believe it or not, the news is official! Perhaps, the most revered wrestler in modern history, the legendary Undertaker, will make his comeback to Smackdown Live, with an appearance on the 15th November episode, at the Mohegan City Arena, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
Maybe it is only a coincidence, that the episode is the go-home show before Survivor Series, the same PPV where Taker made his debut in 1990. What’s in the cards for us, as wrestling fans, considering that the legend may only have one last run left in his fuel tank?
We can only speculate, but here are some likely scenarios when he returns!
#5 Calling it a day
Let’s get the pessimism out of the way first, before we move on to more cheerful topics. There was a picture of The Undertaker that surfaced not too long ago, on crutches. This is obviously, not a surprise, considering that he’s a man who’s put life and limb on the line, every single night that he stepped into the arena, for over two decades.
He is no longer in the prime of his youth, and as we saw with his dream opponent- Sting, The Undertaker’s time too may be coming to a close. Thankfully, the one argument against this theory, is that The Undertaker never breaks character. So an emotional farewell speech from him probably isn’t something that he’d be comfortable doing.
One thing is certain, even if he were to retire tomorrow, his body of work would guarantee The Undertaker a place in the WWE Hall of Fame almost instantly. Moving on...
