5 things to expect from the WWE tag team division in 2016

The WWE tag team division is on a roll

One of the major drawbacks on the part of WWE in recent times has been their not-so-interesting tag team division. The Hardey Boyz, The Dudley Boyz and the charismatic duo of Edge and Christian have set the par so above that anything in recent times seems boring. But that may not be the case anymore.

The tag team division is beginning to be on the rise again thanks largely to The New Day. Now along with a fresh influx of NXT talent, the future of the division seems bright, with a lot of intriguing potentials moving forward. This could mean the long awaited revival of the tag team division.

So, let's take a look now at 5 things to expect in the tag team division in 2016.

5. Larger focus

The old school Vaudevillains made their debut on Smackdown

For the past few months, The New Day have taken over the tag team division and become a headline cornerstone of the entire WWE. Their entertaining antics and superior in-ring prowess, has not only catapulted themselves to the forefront of WWE, but in turn has also brought focus back to the tag team division. Therefore it’s expected that we will see this trend continue.

Furthermore, the post-mania edition of Raw saw the main roster debut of two new talented tag teams from NXT, Enzo & Cass who appeared to confront the Dudley Boyz, and a video package announcing that the Vaudevillains will be making there in-ring main roster debut on Smackdown. Not only that, but it was also revealed that Primo and Epico have been repackaged again and will be ditching their Los Matadores gimmick.

This new influx of fresh talented teams, along with the current experienced talent, will only lead to the WWE placing even more focus on the tag division. This should also hopefully lead them to book multiple tag team feuds at the same time, instead of just the tag team title hunt.
