5 things that will happen if Roman Reigns becomes The Tribal Chief again

Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa will battle in Tribal Combat on the Netflix Premiere of WWE RAW on January 6th. The winner will be the true Tribal Chief and rightful owner of the Ula Fala necklace.

The Head of the Table character allowed Reigns to rule over WWE as a tyrannical heel as opposed to the rejected face WWE constantly pushed.

After Solo Sikoa took things over, Reigns became a babyface by default. He's been absolved of the last four years and will compete in another Tribal Combat match against his cousin.

While this was always how things would play out, certain outcomes will have bigger consequences. The next five things will happen if Roman Reigns becomes the sole Tribal Chief.

#5. The New Bloodline breaks up

The New Bloodline ran roughshod over SmackDown for most of 2024. The reimagined faction remained a featured part of the show, often taking up a quarter of every episode.

Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu have stood out, winning the WWE Tag Team titles over the summer. However, The Samoan Werewolf has clearly wowed audiences with his exciting moves and uniquely loyal character.

The group has won a few matches but lost the most important one at WarGames. If Roman Reigns becomes the one Tribal Chief, the new group will be left in shambles. Sikoa will likely blame Fatu or Tonga, causing the inevitable fracture that shattered the OG Bloodline.

#4. Solo Sikoa loses credibility

Solo Sikoa has already lost a few times to Cody Rhodes. It makes sense; most stars lose to the face of the company. His other main rivals have been Kevin Owens and Randy Orton.

Sikoa had mixed success against the two former champions. The endgame has always been a match with Roman Reigns. Should he lose to The Head of the Table, The Tribal Heir will lose a good deal of credibility.

The angle was responsible for elevating Sikoa to the main event. To a degree, it has. But losing to his biggest rival will hurt his chances of reaching the level of his contemporaries from NXT, like Bron Breakker or Gunther.

#3. Another shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship

The most logical thing that will happen if Roman Reigns becomes the only Tribal Chief again is that he’ll get another shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship.

He carried it for four years already, so there’s no need for him to win it again. Many stars have stepped up in his absence. Cody Rhodes took the ball and ran with it.

Gunther has been the actual dominant champion that Reigns has always been posited as. Bron Breakker is clearly a star for the future. Jacob Fatu has stood out ever since he debuted over the summer.

WWE will ultimately want to push Reigns into another match with Cody. If he wins back the Ula Fala, expect him to re-enter the title chase.

#2. Roman Reigns as a face Tribal Chief champion

Going along with a title shot could be the unfortunate decision to have Roman Reigns actually win the Undisputed WWE Championship back. Some fans would love the idea because that's the direction the company's creative team is leading them to.

It would just be reverting back to how things were over the last four years. The only big change would be that instead of a notoriously overbearing, tyrannical leader of his faction, Roman would be portrayed as a hero.

He'd mostly battle villains in his title defenses. Roman Reigns doesn't need another title run after dominating WWE for so long, but it could ultimately be a decision bookers make.

#1. The Rock returns to the Bloodline drama

The Rock will always loom as long as Bloodline drama exists. Solo Sikoa was the group's MVP in 2024, carrying the story when his bigger and more popular enemies weren't present. The Rock can do whatever he wants and show up when he wants to.

It still provides a strange dynamic when he disappears for so long after dominating programming. The moves could fit into The Final Boss gimmick since Roman dropped the Undisputed WWE title to Cody Rhodes. Appearing means he only cares about tangible possessions.

Rocky put Cody on notice for a future shot at the Undisputed title since he pinned The American Nightmare on Night One of WrestleMania 40. If Roman regains the Ula Fala and becomes the true Tribal Chief again, The Rock may pop back in to claim the necklace.

He was randomly given the People's Championship during the Hall of Fame Ceremony and was jealous of Cody having the Undisputed title. He seems interested in collecting objects and could pursue the Tribal necklace whenever he comes back.
