The Show of Shows has gone into the history books, and it's now time to begin with new champions and fresh storylines.

Kofi Kingston finally realized his lifelong dream of becoming the WWE Champion, after he pinned Daniel Bryan in the middle of the ring at WrestleMania 35.

The main event saw Becky Lynch defeat Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to win both Women's Titles to end the show on a high note.

Tonight's SmackDown Live emanated in the wake of these two feel-good wins. Let's take a look at 5 things WWE ended up doing right on tonight's show.

#5 Character development for The New Day

Over the course of the past few months, we have seen a completely different side of The New Day. The trio used to be the jolliest threesome in all of WWE, but Vince McMahon's attempts to take Kofi out of the title picture forced the three Superstars to show their serious side, with The New Day pondering on leaving the company for greener pastures.

Tonight, we saw another bit of some much-needed character development for the otherwise pancake throwing, cheerful trio.

Woods stated that meeting Kofi for the first time was like meeting a hero. Big E chimed in and said that they are here to shape culture and change history, and that's exactly what happened at 'Mania. Kofi didn't hold back too, and broke the fourth wall by stating that this wasn't in the script and wasn't supposed to happen, but it did.

Kofi's family was introduced, who were sitting at the front row to cheer for the Dreadlocked Dynamo. He thanked them for their unconditional support and love throughout his 11-year journey in the company.

Now that he's the WWE Champion, WWE needs to give the fans moments like these, to flesh out Kofi's personality and let the fans know that he's much more than what we've seen over the past few years with The New Day.
