5 things WWE told us indirectly on SmackDown Live (April 16, 2019)

The Superstar Shake-up continued on WWE SmackDown Live as the blue brand acquired some good names. At first, it was the ultra-talented Finn Balor that was introduced as the new member of the blue brand.

Then, it was two talented stars in Ember Moon and Bayley who became the new members of SmackDown Live. But the biggest acquisition for SmackDown was the arrival of the Big Dog Roman Reigns.

It was an episode with a lot of fun moments as Kevin Owens became an honorary member of the New Day and ate all the pancakes that he could, wore the ridiculous unicorn strap on his head and danced and twerked and moved his hips like New Day members normally do.

There was certainly a lot to be interpreted from this and one of them is…

Kevin Owens opened the show at Montreal by hosting his show. He called out New Day members as his guests but they were without Big E, who is recovering from an injury.

As a result, Owens suggested the New Day to make him their honorary member for the day so that the trio could fight against the team of Rusev, Nakamura and Cesaro.

Kingston and Woods eventually agreed but Big E might not have been pleased as he took to Twitter to post a picture of himself with a disgusted look on his face.

Could this be the beginning of a feud between Big E and his New Day brothers for allowing Owens to take his place – even if it was for one night? Or is this going to be a long-term thing – at least until Big E comes back from his injury – causing Big E to be more frustrated and eventually turning on his brothers?
