5-time World Champion to come out of retirement at WWE Survivor Series? Exploring the chances
Survivor Series has given the WWE Universe many shocking and historic moments over the years. From The Undertaker's debut 34 years ago, to the most recent edition of the PLE, where CM Punk made his emphatic return, it never ceases to amaze. With this year's edition set to take place in Vancouver, the expectations are high. Well, with that in mind, could the fans be treated to a five-time World Champion coming out of retirement for the show?
The five-time World Champion in question just so happens to be the general manager of Monday Night RAW, Adam Pearce. Pearce, who is a former five-time NWA World Champion recently appeared on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, where he addressed the idea of an in-ring return. His answer, and the answer to the aforementioned question, is pretty much the same, and the gist of it is, that anything can happen.
In particular, Adam Pearce was specifically focusing on the possibility of stepping into the ring with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. He claimed that while neither he nor Aldis would angle for such a match, he believes that the two of them are open to the opportunity, should it present itself, and who's to say it won't, by the time Survivor Series rolls around.
"As I've said 100 times privately and publicly, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty either. If the situation calls for it, I'm sure Nick would be down for it," said Adam Pearce [5:37-5:48]
It certainly would be entertaining to see Pearce and Aldis go head-to-head at Survivor Series, a show that typically pits SmackDown versus RAW. But, this remains nothing more than speculation, and only time will tell if the situation calls for it, as Pearce stated.
The WWE Universe could witness a Bloodline civil war at Survivor Series
While a match between Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis seems fantastical, one match that seems to be far more realistic for Survivor Series involves The Bloodline.
As everyone knows, Roman Reigns is back, having made his stadium-shaking return at SummerSlam. Now that he's back, the expectation is that he will be attempting to take back his throne, which will inevitably lead to him butting heads with Solo Sikoa.
Unfortunately for Roman, for the first time in a long time, he does not have the numbers advantage. Solo has Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa on his side, while Reigns has no one. But, this could set things up for an incredible reunion between the Original Tribal Chief and the old guard of The Bloodline, which includes Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Sami Zayn. If this comes to pass, Vancouver, Canada might be the best place to let this "civil war" unfold.
Considering that it will also be War Games, the setting and the match are even more apropos to the storyline. But, as with anything that is speculatory in nature, we will just have to wait and see.
