2018 has been a very unique year for the WWE, to say the least.

The company's stock has reached record highs, thanks in parts to deals such as the one to host SmackDown on FOX Sports, starting October next year.

Stock in WWE is very high right now, despite the controversial ten-year deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which saw the company widely criticized by the media and politicians.

And in between all of this, there have been shocking title reigns and changes in WWE, which have entertained and enraged fans over the past 12 months.

Now with 2018 drawing to a close, the WWE Universe looks to 2019, hoping to have some historic wins that will make next year one to remember for years to come.

Here are five titles changes in WWE that must happen at some point in 2019.

#5 Asuka becomes SmackDown Live Women's Champion

It's been years since the Empress held gold in the WWE.

When Asuka won the first-ever women's Royal Rumble in January, things were looking good for the Empress.

Undefeated since her 2015 debut, Asuka chose to challenge then-Women's Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania, with the Queen making history by becoming the first Superstar to defeat Asuka.

Since then, Asuka has plummeted down the company's totem pole, losing in a feud against Carmella, and only returning to the title picture a few weeks ago.

Now, Asuka has the chance to finally win the title as part of the upcoming first-ever Women's TLC match against Flair and reigning champion Becky Lynch.

Should she fail though, the Japanese sensation needs to win the title in 2019, if nothing else, to prove that she is still the same killer who dominated the NXT Women's division for over 500 days.
