5 twists that could happen at WWE No Mercy 2016

Can we expect the unexpected at this Sunday’s SmackDown Live PPV?

The first pay-per-view for the new SmackDown Live brand was a big success, but this time around, the blue brand will try to top it. Sometimes it’s all about great wrestling and sometimes you need some unforeseen surprises.

So let’s take a look at the 5 twists that could happen against the run of flow at WWE No Mercy 2016!

The Apex Predator is always just a moment away from becoming the prey

Everybody seems to believe that every time Bray Wyatt has a big match, we are destined to see the return of The Wyatt Family. While they did indeed reform once before after a well-done breakup (which is a rarity these days), it felt like the Family was no more once Luke Harper fell to injury and Braun Strowman was drafted to RAW.

Erick Rowan has resumed his role as Bray Wyatt’s lackey, but he has been completely ineffective in his role and would benefit from being completely separated from Wyatt. Randy Orton, however, is and always has been, a very protected superstar.

He rarely loses, and when he does, it usually happens in a controversial manner or due to outright cheating by his opponent. He is one of the top stars on SmackDown and can be used to the benefit of others.

A defeat at the hands of a talent like Bray Wyatt, who the crowd still believes in after all of his failures, would not hurt Randy’s credibility or star power but would up Wyatt’s stock. This is especially true if Wyatt does it on his own. It’s a new era, why not let the self-proclaimed monster be the Eater of Worlds that he claims to be?
