5 unexpected tag-teams we could see in WWE

We love the Rusev Day, but who expected them to pair up in the first place!
We love the Rusev Day, but who expected them to pair up in the first place?

It is no secret that WWE often loves to take two random superstars struggling in the singles division and pair them up for a tag-team run, usually with a nice little breakup feud at the end.

Some examples of such teams in the recent times have been the highly successful Sheamus-Cesaro duo, wildly popular Rusev-Aiden English unit, current RAW tag champs Rollins-Jordan, etc. None of these units have broken up, thankfully.

Such pairings give WWE an extra team to work with in the tag team division and helps both the superstars restore some credibility for themselves. Aiden English went from being little more than enhancement talent and is now one half of the most over duo in the company.

We suggest 5 pairings that could elevate the tag team division to the next level, in addition to helping superstars struggling in the mid card.

#5: Finn Balor- Hideo Itami

I dig it
Now, this could be a very interesting unit

Finn Balor is one of the best examples of a high-potential talent struggling to find his feet in the singles division. He is yet to be booked a proper feud since his dull program with Wyatt ended abruptly in October.

Itami has got the worst possible reactions for a debuting superstar, with a wrestling crowd in Chicago, of all places, not reacting to him. Both of these men have tagged together back in NXT and also recently on RAW.

A tag team that consists of these two athletes can help bridge gap betweeen the main roster and 205 Live, while giving the thin RAW division a credible team.

Since both men are great workers, they can also have good matches with heel teams such as The Bar.
